After building this for Gravity Forms, making a WPForms version was the obvious next move. WPForms is one of the most-used form plugins in WordPress, and its users need the same attribution visibility inside entries.

What the Plugin Does
The plugin captures referral attribution data and stores it with each WPForms submission, including:
- Referral source
- Referrer URL
- Full referral/query parameters
- UTM values (
utm_id,utm_source,utm_medium,utm_campaign,utm_term,utm_content) - Click IDs from major ad platforms
So instead of piecing this together later, the context is already attached to the entry.

Smart Tags Are a Big One
One of the most useful parts of this release is full Smart Tag support for referral fields.
That means you can pass attribution values into notifications, confirmations, webhooks, and CRM handoffs. If you’re routing leads into tools like HubSpot or Salesforce, this makes it much easier to keep source data connected to the contact/opportunity record.
(Exact mapping depends on your integration path, but the data is there and usable at handoff time.)
