These Terms & Conditions apply to every WordPress plugin sold or distributed by Plugin Brewery. By purchasing, downloading, or using any of our plugins, you agree to the terms set out below.
Plugin Licensing & Use
When you buy a Plugin Brewery product, you’re granted a non-exclusive, limited license to use that plugin in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
All rights not expressly granted in these Terms remain with Plugin Brewery.
Software License (GPL)
Our plugins are released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL) or later. Under the GPL, you may view, modify, and use the source code in line with the GPL’s requirements.
Your license key, however, controls access to automatic updates and support. The GPL governs the software itself; the commercial license governs the services around it.
License Keys
In addition to the GPL software license, each purchase includes a non-transferable license key.
- License keys are valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase.
- Your license is tied to your Plugin Brewery account and may not be shared, resold, or publicly distributed.
- Transfer of a license to another owner is only possible by contacting us directly and may be approved or declined at our discretion.
- A valid, active license is required to receive plugin updates and access support.
- Plugin Brewery reserves the right to suspend or revoke license keys that are misused or used in violation of these Terms.
Subscriptions, Renewals & Cancellations
Each plugin purchase sets up an annual subscription using the payment method you provide at checkout.
- Unless cancelled, your subscription will automatically renew each year on the original purchase date so that updates and support continue without interruption.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from your Plugin Brewery account or by contacting us.
- If you cancel and do not receive a refund, your license will remain active until the end of the current billing period, and you’ll retain access to updates and support until that date.
- If a refund is granted (see “Refund Policy” below), your license and all related services will end immediately on the refund date.
- When a license expires, the plugin will typically continue to run on your site, but you will no longer receive updates, new features, bug fixes, or support. We cannot guarantee compatibility with future versions of WordPress, themes, or other plugins once your license has expired.
- You may renew or re-purchase a license at any time to restore access to updates and support.
Delivery & Download Access
- After successful payment, your plugin and license key will be available for immediate download from the order confirmation page and your Plugin Brewery account dashboard.
- We’ll also email you a confirmation message that includes your download link and license details.
- If your license is expired, revoked, or refunded, access to plugin downloads may be paused or removed until the license is renewed or reactivated.
Compatibility & Warranty
Our plugins are tested and built to work on a clean WordPress installation with a default theme and standard environment.
Because every site is unique:
- We cannot guarantee compatibility with every third-party theme, plugin, or hosting setup.
- All Plugin Brewery products are provided “as is,” without any express or implied warranty, as permitted under the GPL and applicable law.
- Plugin Brewery is not responsible for any loss of data, lost profits, or other damages that may result from installing, using, or being unable to use our plugins.
We strongly recommend testing updates and new installations on a staging site before deploying changes to a live environment.
Refund Policy
We want you to feel confident in your purchase.
- If you’re unhappy with your plugin or run into an issue that we’re unable to resolve, you may request a full refund within 15 days of your initial purchase or renewal — no hard feelings.
- Refund requests made after 15 days are not eligible under this policy. You can still cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges.
- We encourage you to reach out to support first so we have an opportunity to help troubleshoot any problems.
Once a refund is issued, your license, access to updates, and support coverage are ended immediately.
Personal Data & Payment Information
To process orders and manage your licenses, we store a limited amount of information:
- Name
- Email address
- Billing address
- IP address (used for tax/VAT and compliance purposes)
You may contact us at any time to request deletion of this data, subject to any legal or accounting obligations we’re required to meet.
Plugin Brewery does not store your full payment details. All payments are processed securely by our payment provider (such as Stripe) in accordance with their own privacy and security policies.
Email Communication
By purchasing a plugin, you agree that we may send you:
- Transactional emails, such as order confirmations, license information, and important notices about your account or products.
- Occasional product or update announcements relevant to the plugins you own.
You can unsubscribe from non-essential messages at any time using the link in the email. We do not sell or trade your email address or personal details to third parties.
Acceptance of Terms
By completing a purchase, downloading, installing, or using any Plugin Brewery plugin, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree, you may not purchase or use our plugins.
Severability
If any part of these Terms & Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that portion will be interpreted in a way that most closely reflects its original intent under applicable law. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Changes to These Terms
Plugin Brewery may update or modify these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
- Any changes will be posted on this page, and the “last updated” date may be adjusted accordingly.
- Your continued use of our plugins after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
